EXPERTISE

Jennifer is a senior mortgages and savings lawyer with a particular specialism in mortgage regulation. Prior to joining Addleshaw Goddard, Jennifer worked as a senior solicitor in the in-house legal team at Leeds Building Society for 8 years, providing advice on all aspects of the Society's mortgages and savings business. Since working at AG, Jennifer has acted on a number of strategically important regulatory projects with some of the UK's leading banks and building societies. 

Experience

Jennifer's recent experience includes:

  • drafting all core regulatory mortgage lending documentation for a new entrant to the mortgage lending market including second charge, buy to let and consumer buy to let lending 
  • implementation projects of the Mortgage Credit Directive for a number of banks and building societies, including reviewing and drafting KFI plus, ESIS and offer documents and advising on regulatory policies and procedures for mortgage lending and servicing
  • ensuring compliance with unfair terms legislation and guidance including drafting and advising on savings and mortgage and loan terms and conditions 
  • managing due diligence projects for clients wishing to take advantage of Bank of England collateral loan facilities 
  • providing legal and regulatory training in relation to both new and existing regulatory requirements to clients in both legal/compliance and business roles
