Ed is a Managing Associate within the Dubai Real Estate team, bringing a wealth of experience from his engagements with pension funds, institutional landlords, tenants, and privately owned companies across a diverse range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and asset management.
In the past he has played a pivotal role in the asset management of a significant office building in the City of London for an investment insurer client, expertly overseeing the office, hospitality, and retail lettings. Ed's collaborative efforts within a multi-departmental team have been instrumental in managing the real estate aspects of a rail depot infrastructure projects, where he provided advice on the deal's structure and the acquisition process on behalf of the funding entity.
Ed's experience also includes advising a leading FTSE 100 retailer group, where he was responsible for managing their leasehold and freehold acquisitions and guiding the strategic restructuring of their property portfolio. His expertise extends to representing premium restaurant and hospitality operators in central London, managing acquisitions and overseeing the execution of multi-million-pound fit-outs as part of the acquisitions.
Furthermore, Ed successfully managed the acquisitions and sales of large portfolio for a Pension Fund client, offering expert advice on occupational leases, due diligence, and the intricacies of sale transactions to varied purchasers.
- Experience
- Responsible for the asset management of a prominent office building owned by an investment insurer client within the City of London, overseeing office, hospitality, and retail lettings
- Collaborated within a cross department team to manage the real estate components of a rail depot infrastructure project in Tyseley, Birmingham, including advising on the structure of the deal and advising on the site being acquired on behalf of the funding entity.
- Gained valuable experience working with a prominent FTSE 100 retailer group, managing their leasehold/freehold acquisitions, and overseeing the restructuring of their portfolio.
- Managed the acquisitions on behalf of a high-end restaurant and hospitality operator on their sites within central London often including the management of the ongoing multi million pound fit outs within the terms of the agreements.
- Handled and manged the purchase and subsequent sale of a large shopping centre for a Pension Fund client, providing guidance on existing occupational leases and due diligence and the mechanics of a sale to a JV purchaser.
