Sophie advises a wide range of clients on compliance with the Consumer Credit Act 1974, FCA regulation for mortgage lenders and unfair terms legislation.

Sophie's experience includes:

  • working on large Mortgage Credit Directive implementation projects, advising on authorisation requirements, classification of lending activities and sign-off of documentation and procedures;
  • provision of technical advice in relation to the Consumer Credit Act 1974 including advice on authorisation requirements, compliance issues with the form of documentation and lending policies;
  • provision of advice on remediation process from breach identification and file reviews through to customer correspondence; and
  • supporting due diligence on mortgage and loan portfolio acquisitions.
