Catherine is an Associate within the Commercial Services and Data Protection division based in our Edinburgh office. Catherine qualified Addleshaw Goddard's Commercial Contracts team in September 2023 after completing her training at the firm. Her practice focuses on providing advice on a wide range of commercial matters, including terms and conditions, commercial sponsorship and partnership agreements, technology contracts, outsourcing agreements, goods and services contracts, and compliance with ASA marketing rules. Catherine also gained valuable experience during a six-month secondment in the commercial team at an international airline.

Experience includes:
- Assisting clients in various sectors with facility management service agreements, by advising on contractual risk and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
- Providing support to the Corporate team in various acquisitions for clients in a variety of sectors by: conducting due diligence on commercial, data protection and intellectual property matters; negotiating the warranties within the share purchase or business and asset purchase agreements; and drafting ancillary documents, including intellectual property assignments.
- Managing a data protection helpline service for clients across various sectors
- Providing data protection support to various sector clients in respect of compliance audits by reviewing and updating various documents required under data protection laws, including privacy notices, internal policy documents, data protection impact assessments and registers of processing.
- Supporting clients in managing and responding to data subject access requests by drafting response letters, reviewing documents and creating disclosure bundles.
