Addleshaw Goddard has capitalised on its leading Retail and Consumer sector offering and innovative approach to delivering tailored client services to be named one of just eight UK firms appointed to leading soft drink manufacturer, Lucozade Ribena Suntory's (LRS) first formal legal panel in the UK.

The firm has worked for LRS since 2016, advising mostly on competition and regulatory law issues. Addleshaw Goddard utilised its pioneering legal tech platform, AG ID, to assist in differentiating itself from the 23 other firms who were involved in the tendering process.

Rona Bar-Isaac, competition and regulatory law partner in Addleshaw Goddard Retail and Consumer Group, comments: "This is a very exciting time to be working with LRS, who have a reputation for innovation and a consumer focused approach. The acquisition of both brands by Suntory in 2013 saw it grow its share of the UK off-trade soft drinks market to become second in the UK.

We are therefore thrilled to have been appointed to its first legal panel, and look forward to working with its General Counsel, Mary Guest, and the rest of the in-house team to further develop the relationship."
