Funding and investment
We help employers to understand the balance of power in their schemes to ensure they understand the role they are entitled to play. We also assist them with negotiating a greater role in setting investment strategy.
We help employers to develop and implement changes including transition from final salary to CARE or defined contribution, increasing member contributions, capping pensionable salary, and closure. We also have a part to play in smoothing discussions with trustees and supporting employers through the consultation process with their affected employees.
We help employers to negotiate with trustees where employers are seeking clearance from The Pensions Regulator or where employers just want reassurance that trustees will not use their powers in an unhelpful way following corporate activity. Where a section 75 debt would be triggered by a transaction we help employers to negotiate apportionment arrangements to avoid the need for short-term cash flow problems.
