Triin is an Associate in the Manchester Commercial Litigation team, having qualified into the team in September 2020 after completing her training contract with the firm. Triin has experience advising on a range of complex disputes, including project failures, commercial contracts and pensions issues.

Recent examples of Triin's work include:

  • acted for a rail client in a complex contractual dispute relating to a claim for losses incurred in respect of plant and machinery used on the railway network;
  • advising an employer in its investigations into potential "serial rectification" relating to a historic pension scheme amendment in late 1990s and two subsequent amendments which replicated the existing drafting;
  • acted for Britvic during the High Court proceedings and on its successful appeal before the Court of Appeal on the proper interpretation of pension increase provisions in the scheme's governing documentation; and
  • assisted on a claim involving a number of NHS Foundation Trusts asserting their entitlement to mandatory business rate relief due to their charitable status.
