AG advises QTerminals Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in Kramer Holding B.V.

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised QTerminals (a multinational terminal operating company with operations in Qatar, Turkey and Ukraine, which has a vision to become a recognized world class, customer-focused operator with a global portfolio) on its acquisition of Kramer Holding B.V., a provider of integrated logistics and container services located in the Port of Rotterdam.

The acquisition of the Kramer Group represents an important milestone in the expansion of QTerminals, as the Port of Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe and is a significant addition to QTerminals' record of success in diversifying its operations.  The Kramer Group is an integrated container handling and storage, terminal, container development and logistics services provider, located in the Port of Rotterdam, and is the only independent terminal in the Maasvlakte area, as well as one of the few multi-user depot terminals in the port.

The AG team advising QTerminals was led by Partners Ian Le Pelley and Marton Eorsi, supported by Legal Director Hayley Arrow and Managing Associate Tom Wheatley.  Partner Zoe Fatchen and Managing Associate Jade Chan provided tax advice.  Leading Benelux law firm, AKD, supported AG on the Dutch aspects of the transaction.  The QTerminals legal team was led by Group Legal & Compliance Director Flemming Falkentoft, with support from Legal Counsel M&A Zeynep Sener.

QTerminals' CEO Neville Bissett said: “The deal expands our presence into Europe’s largest port. It complements our existing network and adds new business, as well as a robust value-creating service offering”.

Ian Le Pelley said: "We are delighted to have advised QTerminals on this important acquisition, and to help the company expand its international operations.  This has been a really interesting transaction where we have been pleased to make use of our in-depth experience of international ports and logistics transactions, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with the excellent QTerminals team".
