A corporate team from Addleshaw Goddard, led by David Kirchin, has advised the management shareholders of telecommunications and ISP provider, Commsworld, on a major investment into the company by mid-market private equity house LDC.
Edinburgh-headquartered Commsworld provides connectivity, cloud, security, unified comms, and IT infrastructure services to the public and private sectors, with key client relationships including Taylor Wimpey, Skyscanner and Edinburgh Airport.
Established in 1994, Commsworld has 110 staff based across its offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Aberdeen and recorded revenues of £20 million for the financial year ending December 2018 - a 41 per cent increase on the previous 12 months.
David Kirchin, Partner and Head of Corporate at Addleshaw Goddard in Scotland, said: “This deal is an extremely important milestone in Commsworld’s drive for UK-wide growth and we are delighted to have supported the team on the transaction. The deal will enable Commsworld to realise its ambitions for another year of double-digit growth and we were proud to support the management team on this exciting phase in Commsworld’s plans for expansion.”
