Our Health & Safety team has published a case study on the conviction and imprisonment of a takeaway owner following the death of a customer who ate a meal containing nuts, bought from the owner's restaurant.
The case demonstrates the tough stance that courts take in respect of such issues and follows the implementation of the new sentencing guidelines in February 2016.
