Thomas in an Associate within the Finance team, based in our Edinburgh office.

He has experience acting for a variety of lenders and borrowers across a wide range of banking transactions including general corporate lending and borrowing, leveraged finance, real estate finance and acquisition finance.

Thomas's experience include:

• Acting for a UK-based private equity investment firm in respect of the finance-related elements of its multimillion acquisition of one of the UK's largest regional house builders.
• Acting for an international banking syndicate in connection with the provision of facilities to a multinational corporate group operating in the electrical power generation sector.
• Acting for a European private equity real estate investment firm in relation to the acquisition and development of various sites to grow its UK build to rent portfolio, supported by debt finance from non-bank lenders.
• Acting for an American financial services corporation in connection with the asset-based refinancing of an independent Scottish distiller with a wide-ranging portfolio including a number of high profile brands.
• Acting for a multi-sector Scottish manufacturing group in the refinancing of its existing facilities, while also incorporating additional facilities to facilitate the acquisition of one of the UK's leading timber frame manufacturers.
• Acting for a clearing bank in the provision of revolving credit facilities to a local government pension scheme-backed exempt unauthorised unit trust to facilitate ongoing investment in real estate long income assets.
