Addleshaw Goddard (AG) has appointed Sarah Atkinson as a Partner in its London Real Estate team.

Joining the firm from Greenberg Traurig, Sarah's practice specialises in advising developers and funders on a wide range of transactions in the real estate sector, with particular expertise in private equity backed funding transactions, development and development finance, and bond leaseback transactions.

Sarah has worked across a wide range of real estate asset classes, including student, build to rent and co-living, mixed use developments, logistics and life sciences.

Sarah's appointment follows that of Daniel Woolston who joined AG from Greenberg Traurig in 2021 as a partner in the firm's Investment Management Group (IMG), a specialist funds and indirect real estate group within the firm.

Sarah is part of AG's alumna, having worked at the firm as an associate between 2007-2010. She follows in the footsteps of Catherine Williams, Co-head of AG's housing ('Living') team, who recently re-joined the firm from Shoosmiths after a ten-year hiatus.

Since January 2022 AG has made 39 lateral Partner hires (not including Sarah Atkinson). In addition, the firm's merger with Eugene F Collins in Ireland last year brought in 26 Partners.

Iain Hindhaugh, Head of Real Estate at Addleshaw Goddard, said:

"We are delighted to welcome Sarah back to AG. Sarah has a unique skillset, and will offer us real bench-strength in our growing Private Equity Real Estate offering. Sarah's arrival, along with the previous hiring of Daniel Woolston from Greenberg Traurig, Simon Pollock from BCLP and Catherine Williams from Shoosmiths will support our growth strategy as we look to maintain our position as a market leading City Real Estate practice."
