The Corporate team at Addleshaw Goddard has advised Phoenix Equity Partners on its investment in Dufrain, a leading UK-based data services provider.

Phoenix acquired a major stake in Dufrain, and is backing CEO Joseph George, CCO Gerry Goodwin and the Dufrain team to further expand its operations and client services in a fast-growing market.

Dufrain, which has offices in Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds and London, employs more than 170 data experts and provides data management, business intelligence and analytics services to clients, including some of the world's leading brands, across all sectors.

The 54-strong AG team advising Phoenix on the deal was led by Paul Medlicott, Gemma Philips and Lauren Sinclair-Williams.

Paul Medlicott said: "Data services is a growing market and one which AG has extensive experience of, so we were delighted to bring that experience to bear in assisting Phoenix with this investment. Dufrain has ambitious growth plans and with the support of Phoenix it will be able to extend its technology and services and reach new markets."
