The Transaction Services Team (TST) from Addleshaw Goddard has signed up to join a confederation of businesses across the UK to raise £1 million for youth charity, The Prince’s Trust during 2015.

As part of the challenge, the TST have been tasked to turn seed funding of £750 into a profit of £10,000 or more, in just six months. The team must implement a series of creative and innovative ideas to raise money for the competition, which is being supported by Capita.

To help raise money for the charity, the team has created a new brand – The Healthy Partnership, which will produce range of healthy smoothies, which will be sold across the firms Leeds and Manchester offices on a weekly basis.

The Healthy Partnership will also host a series of events across AG's offices which will include a 'Race to the States' inter office rowing competitions and smaller competitive activities such as hula hooping competitions and Wii game days.

Fiona Siddall, Paralegal in the TST team stated: "Our mission is to increase activity in the workplace by getting people off their chairs and at the same time raising lots of money for a fantastic charity.

"We are really excited to start the Million Makers challenge and test our entrepreneurial skills. We can't wait to see the impact on the young people who the Prince's Trust help everyday and really make a difference to a young person's life."

Since its launch in 2008, Million Makers has proved popular with companies wanting to develop the skills of their employees through real-life action learning whilst also giving back to the local community and The Prince's Trust.

Each day The Prince’s Trust helps disadvantaged young people to get their lives on track. Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training.
