In this edition of Addleshaw Goddard's International Arbitration Quarterly Review we explore the interesting issue of two barristers from the same chambers representing opposing parties, we report on the identified "weaknesses" in the 2014 IBA Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest, we also look into the increased certainty for optional arbitration provisions and finally we report on another significant case that enforces a penalty award.
