Lee Sheldon - Partner / Co-Head of Real Estate Sector

Lee specialises in advising a range of property companies (both public and private), institutional investors and private equity real estate funds on complex corporate wrapped real estate transactions, including investments/ divestments, joint ventures and corporate restructurings as well as the associated management arrangements. Additionally, he supports managers of and investors in UK, pan-European and global investment funds operating across the real asset sectors. Lee’s work with fund managers covers advice on all aspects of fund formation and the establishment of fund management business as well as in relation to investors, advice on fund investments, co-investments and acquisitions/ disposals of portfolios of fund interests in the secondary market.

Adam Irányi - Head of Investment Europe, Union Investment

Union Investment is a leading international property investment company specialising in open-ended real estate funds for private and institutional investors and has assets under management of some EUR 47 billion in 20 real estate funds. The current portfolio comprises 425 properties and projects throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia/Pacific. Adam holds a Diploma in International Business from the International Business School in Berlin, Germany and a Bachelor in International Business Administration from the University of Lincoln, UK. He joined Union Investment in 2005 and was responsible for property investments and sales in Spain and the UK until 2012. From 2012 until 2016 he focussed on transactions in the UK. Since March 2017 he is heading the Investment Management Europe II team, which covers the European investment markets (acquisitions and sales) outside the DACH region.

Andrew Hawkins - Partner London Capital Markets, Cushman & Wakefield

Andrew has 30 years of experience in Real Estate Capital Markets and began his career initially in Manchester working across the Regional Investment and Development markets. Andrew worked for JLL for 22 years helping set up their Manchester Office in 1996 before migrating to the City of London 15 years ago. As an International Director he ran the City Capital Markets team and was a member of their Global Advisory Capital Markets group before moving to Cushman & Wakefield to join their leading London Markets team 3 years ago. Since 2006 he has specialised in London and is a recognised expert in large complex transactions having traded over $15 Billion of real estate. Skyline deals in the City include 22 Bishopsgate, One Undershaft, 125 Old Broad Street, Tower 42 and the BT Centre at Newgate Street. At Canary Wharf they include selling and buying the Citigroup Tower (25 Canada Square), HSBC 8 Canada Square, KPMG 15 Canada Square and recently the sale of the Cabot to Link REIT. Andrew’s expertise is in large disposals, acquisitions, development and recapitalisations.

Beatrice Dupont -Partner at ARA Venn, Commercial Real Estate

Beatrice has an extensive background in real estate and corporate lending gained over her 20 years of industry experience. She is one of the founding partners of ARA Venn’s Commercial Real Estate lending business which today manages a number of pan-European real estate debt funds as well as two high profile UK Government lending schemes: the £3.5bn PRS Guarantee Scheme and the £3bn Affordable Housing Scheme.

Eric Yau - Chief Strategy Officer, Link Asset Management Limited

Mr Eric Yau is Chief Strategy Officer of Link, oversees the development, communication, execution and sustainment of corporate strategic initiatives as well as all functions covering external affairs, stakeholder management and strategy, including corporate affairs and marketing, investor relations, sustainability and corporate finance. He is one of the responsible officers of Link for the purpose of the SFO and a director of a number of subsidiaries of Link. Mr Yau joined Link in November 2010 initially with the Investment team responsible for merger and acquisition and the formulation of the corporate sustainability strategy. He became Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Finance in September 2015. Prior to joining Link, Mr Yau worked as an investment banker and corporate manager in DBS Asia Capital, CLP Holdings, UBS Investment Bank and Jardine Fleming. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA from Harvard University, and a BA from Brown University.

Zach Vaughan - Head of Real Estate for Europe, Brookfield

Zach Vaughan is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Real Estate Group, responsible for Brookfield’s European real estate investments. In this role, he oversees all of Brookfield’s real estate activities, including investments, portfolio management and new fund formation in the region.

Mr. Vaughan joined Brookfield in 2012. Since joining, he has been involved in several M&A transactions including Thayer Lodging, CenterParcs, Gazeley, Student Roost, MPG Office Trust, Associated Estates and Interhotels. Mr. Vaughan is a director of Canary Wharf Group, CenterParcs, Student Roost and SACO. Before to relocating to London he was based in the United States and oversaw Brookfield’s North American multifamily investments and its operating company, Fairfield Residential.
