DATA DOWNLOAD: Consent or Pay - Is it OK?

The UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has recently published a call for views on the "consent or pay" subscription model, also known as "pay or OK", which gives users a choice between paying for access to a website or app without being tracked for personalised advertising, or gaining access free of charge in return for accepting tracking. The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) is expected to publish an opinion on the model very shortly.
