AG's Manchester and Leeds Business Support and Restructuring team have completed a deal on behalf of Wrexham Glyndwr University which saw Wrexham Football Club take a long lease of its home stadium the Racecourse Ground.

The deal relieves the University from the substantial financial burden of running and maintaining the ground, and creates a healthy income stream for the University moving forward. It also gives certainty to the Football Club in terms of its own football and business operation.

Lynda Powell, Director of Operations at Wrexham Glyndwr University said "the advice, guidance and support offered by the team at AG has been exceptional. The deal that the University needed to achieve was extremely complex but with the sound legal advice and expertise provided by AG, we were able to complete the transaction within our required timeframes and to the satisfaction of our Board."

The deal was lead by partner Andy Bates with support on the property elements from John Duffy and Richard Bellamy, and by Emma Collins on the sale of the business operation and assets at the ground.
