Maya trained with Addleshaw Goddard and qualified into the Commercial team in 2019. She has experience advising a range of clients on commercial agreements, including supply of goods and service agreements, intellectual property advice, outsourcing and software agreements.
In addition to general commercial matters, Maya also has particular experience in advising clients on data protection laws and works with a number of the firm's key clients in relation to their ongoing compliance with the GDPR, where her experience includes large M&A transactions, software licences as well as advising on website compliance and ecommerce risk.
Examples of Maya's experience include:
- Advising on the IP aspects of an innovative new payment technology for a major UK clearing bank.
- Providing general commercial support for clients across various sectors (retail and consumer, transport, hotel and leisure and financial).
- Drafting website Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policies for several clients in advance of the launch of their e-commerce website or social media site.
Maya has also spent time on secondment with a large UK supermarket, assisting the in-house legal team to draft, review and negotiate a range of BAU commercial agreements including website hosting agreements, terms and conditions and marketing agreements.
