Steve specialises in construction, development and engineering projects in relation to large scale and complex schemes including manufacturing/warehouse and infrastructure developments, integrated engineering installations and bespoke defence projects.  He acts for developers, employers, funders, manufacturing and logistic operators, and defence companies with particular attention to the flow down of development and funding obligations, overarching contract obligations and correlation with the construction and/or engineering suite of documents.  Prior to qualification as a solicitor, Steve was a systems engineer, project manager and latterly a commercial manager with over 25 years' experience in engineering industries and is a chartered engineer.

  • the ongoing 575 acre mixed use Omega development in Warrington advising on over 16 individual schemes (logistics, manufacturing, mixed use, residential, education, public space) and several phases of underlying infrastructure works including roads, street lighting, motorway junction improvements, all utilities, sub-stations and a power line diversion and including notable occupiers such as Amazon, Travis Perkins, brakes, Hermes, Royal Mail, The Hut, Domino's and Asda
  • advising Tritax Symmetry on several UK sites involving multiple warehouse/manufacturing units, infrastructure works and related access developments including a particularly complex development involving the construction of 1.6 million square feet of logistics space and 480,000 sq ft of office space in preparation for the installing of very high value automated equipment
  • advising on the development of aircraft facilities at UK RAF bases including training facilities, accommodation, squadron headquarters, aircraft hangars and maintenance facilities
  • advising,, Matalan and JD Sports (and other retailers) on small to very high value warehouse automation projects
