Carly joined Addleshaw Goddard LLP in July 2010. Before joining the firm, Carly trained with Squire Patton Boggs and worked at DAC Beachcrofts.
Carly advises on a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious employment issues for a variety of clients including British Airways Plc, Rolls-Royce Plc, IAG, Network Rail Infrastructure Limited and Nationwide Building Society.
Carly's non-contentious specialism includes providing strategic advice to private sector clients on large-scale business re-organisations involving TUPE, collective redundancy programmes, outsourcing and transitional service arrangements, as well as general mergers and acquisitions. She also regularly advises on complex grievance and disciplinary issues, performance and absence management issues and executive appointments and terminations.
Carly has significant experience of complex and high value employment litigation, predominantly for employers, including claims in the appellate courts. Recent experience includes acting for a Plc client in defending a long-running race discrimination and victimisation claim, involving several claims in the Employment Tribunal, the EAT and applications for leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal.
Carly undertook a six month secondment to British Airways' employment department during 2012.
Carly regularly delivers training courses to clients on a variety of topics and is a member of the Employment Lawyer's Association.
