Laura is passionate about the environmental, social and governance agenda within the financial services sector. 

She has over 12 years' experience acting as an in-house advisor within significant, global financial services institutions where she worked within product advisory, policy, regulatory and governance teams advising a range of stakeholders up to board director level, focusing most recently on the sustainability agenda and promoting stakeholder voices within decision-making frameworks.  

Laura's expertise lies specifically in responsible governance, sustainability reporting and environmental transition.  Laura has excellent, practical experience of navigating the process of operationalising new regulations within financial services firms. 

  • Attended Syracuse University, New York as a Lockerbie Scholar within the Rene-Crown Honours Programme. 
  • Read Law with Honours at the University of Edinburgh (graduated 2009), followed by the Diploma in Legal Professional Practice at the same institution (graduated 2010). 
  • Laura holds a Foundation Standard from the Chartered Banker Professional Standards, a Certificate of Accreditation (CF1) for UK financial services, regulation and ethics and a Certificate in Climate Change Transformation from the University of Edinburgh.
