EXPERTISE
Eileen is a Partner in the Corporate team and head of the Capital Markets and Financial Regulation groups in Ireland. She specialises in company law, dealing in particular with financial regulation issues and charities regulation as well as corporate governance more generally.
Eileen’s Capital Markets activity has involved listed issuances of debt and equities, initial public offerings and private placements as well as advising generally on requirements under the Regulated Securities Markets Regulations. She advises on Financial services regulation and authorisation and compliance requirements.
She is also very involved in the area of Corporate Governance and Directors liability, having published a number of articles and contributing to publications on corporate governance. Eileen has advised many clients, both businesses and numerous charities and other guarantee companies, on corporate governance review exercises and projects and this activity extends to advising on interpretation of provisions and implementation of governance requirements under both legislation and governance codes, regularly advising boards of directors and making presentations to boards.
EXPERIENCE
Recent Experience includes advising
- A large Irish registered charity and philanthropic organisation, in relation to a full corporate governance review and on governance matters more generally.
- Medisec Ireland in relation to their new relationship with MedPro Inc., part of the US Berkshire Hathaway Group, and is corporate adviser generally and adviser to the Board. She has assisted with various aspects of its corporate governance activities.
- A body for property, land & construction professionals on a corporate governance review, on general corporate law impacting the management of company and on aspects of charities regulation
- Clients seeking to make applications to the Central Bank of Ireland for authorisations as financial services firms.
- Clients through our Dispute Resolution department where the underlying issues relate to listed securities and capital markets instruments and/or Market Securities Regulation
