As well as formal legal proceedings, Jordan advises clients on commercial strategy to avoid litigation and take measures to mitigate against future disputes, including the advantages of alternative dispute resolution, where appropriate 

• Acting for a private equity investor in a multi-million breach of warranty dispute in relation to the sale of a biomass renewable energy plant.
• Acting for a Spanish-based manufacturer of electronic components in a contractual claim relating to sale of goods and fitness for purpose in the context of a renewable energy wind farm project.  
• Acting for a high-profile hotel chain to consider potential contractual vulnerabilities following a fire and evacuation of a London hotel. Advised on contractual elements in conjunction with our Global Investigations team. 
• Acted for a Yorkshire-based carpet manufacturer in a Covid-19 related delay dispute in which a party alleged the contract for sale and purchase of heavy-duty equipment had become frustrated as a result of government guidance on the Covid-19 pandemic.
