Peter works in Banking and Finance and specialises in acquisition/leveraged finance, corporate banking and financial institution lending. He works with bank and non-bank lenders, debt advisers, entrepreneurs, managers, financial sponsors, corporate and institutional borrowers. The practice is 50/50 between acting for debt providers and borrowers giving a balanced view of the market overall and the issues the parties face. The work includes jurisdictions across the globe but particularly in the USA and Western Europe.

• Acted for Alcentra, CVC and Highbridge on the provision of debt funding for Palamon's £200m acquisition of Currencies Direct 
• Acted for Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds and RBS on its float and subsequent senior debt facilities provided to Telecity Group plc 
• Acted for Montagu Private Equity on the provision of debt facilities provided for the £200m MBO of Cory Environmental 
• Retail deals include: All Saints, Dune, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Fox's Glacier, Jane Norman, Kurt Geiger, L K Bennett, Mountain Warehouse, Sofa.com, The Rug Company, TM Lewin, and Zoggs 
• CAA regulated and travel orientated deals include: Anite Travel, Education and Adventure Travel, Fleetway Travel, Iglu, Scott Dunn and Sunsail 
• Healthcare deals include: ADP, Care Homes Group, Dignity Funerals, Healthcare Locums, Hillcrest, IDH and National Foster Care 
• Entertainment & Leisure deals include: Conran restaurants, C-Side Holdings, Fever Tree, Full House Group (theatre tickets), Hawksmoor, Hollywood Bowling, KFC franchises, La Tasca, Refresco, TGI Friday's, Wimpy and Yo Sushi and various pub chains 
• Financial institution deals include: 7IM, Admiral, Avantia, Donegan, Equitix, Medic X, Prentis and Towergate 

Examples of others deals from industrials to media include the following: ATG Media, Big Yellow, BIMM (music school), Boom Pictures, Cambridge Nutritional Foods, Dignity Funerals, Dueutsche Permaswage, EDM, Ideal Stelrad, Incisive Media, Jockey Club, Pinewood Studios, Quality Care Solicitors, SJD (accountancy software), Workdry and Marston Holdings. Also worked on many P2Ps, restructurings, PIK and super senior/ FO & LO transactions and occasionally fund lending.
