Niamh started her legal career in the Construction team at Squire Patton Boggs (formerly Hammonds LLP), and subsequently worked for Lupton Fawcett for 2 years, before joining Addleshaw Goddard.

  • Drafting and negotiating Appointments, Warranties, Novations, Bonds and Parent Company Guarantees for large property developers in the following sectors: retail, commercial, office, industrial, hotel/leisure and residential
  • Negotiating and advising on Building Contracts such as the JCT and NEC suite of contracts
  • Carrying out construction due diligence on large property acquisitions and disposals
  • Preparation of bespoke precedents for developer clients in the commercial, healthcare, residential and utilities sectors
  • Providing real estate assistance on Development Agreements, Agreements for Lease, Sale Agreements
  • Providing construction advice to other practice areas e.g. Corporate and Banking teams
  • Most recent projects include:
    • The Guildhall, York acting on behalf of City of York Council;
    • Burnholme Community Hub, York acting on behalf of City of York Council;
    • Food manufacturing plant in Worksop, acting on behalf of Cerealto UK Ltd
    • Various Balance of Plant works for single turbine wind farms, acting on behalf of Windcare Ltd
