Chris advises company clients in all aspects of employment law. He helps provide commercial and pragmatic solutions tailored to the client's objectives, with a minimum of fuss. Chris works for a large range of clients, including small entrepreneurial enterprises to national and multi-national operations.

Chris has 10 years' experience advising clients, and has worked with a number of national businesses in the transport and haulage industry. Dealing mostly with litigious/contentious matters, Chris conducts his own advocacy in the Employment Tribunals in England, Scotland and Wales. He has conducted hearings on all types of employment disputes, including TUPE, unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, trade union claims, holiday pay and other contract claims, flexible working requests, agency workers and employment status claims and many others. Chris has also appeared as an advocate in the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

An example of Chris' recent work includes:

  • helping to advise on the TUPE aspects of a service provision change for an insolvent national chain of gyms.
  • advising a FTSE 100 international airline on their restructuring and redundancy programme during the COVID pandemic, including introducing new contracts of employment and collective bargaining agreements.
  • advising and acting for William Hill on their employment tribunal cases.
