Legal apprenticeship schemes

We launched our legal apprenticeship scheme in 2015 and since then, we have recruited over 35 apprentices. Our schemes provide individuals with invaluable work experience in a top commercial law firm whilst studying towards a legal qualification. It allows you to start your career in law without having to go to university.

Our apprenticeship schemes are based in our Transaction Services Team, or the TST for short. The TST currently has over 170 team members split across all of our UK offices. The team is made up of Apprentices, Paralegals, Managers and qualified Solicitors to support in the delivery of their wide range of work.

The team was launched in 2010 and since then it has developed and advanced some major innovations and played an important role in many of AG's largest client assignments.

The TST has four different subteams, aligned to each of Addleshaw Goddard's different practice areas; Corporate & Commercial, Finance & Projects,  Litigation and Real Estate. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work in these different subteams and gain a breadth of different experience.

You will also gain experience of working with legal technology to deliver your work, which may include the option to be seconded for part of your Apprenticeship into Addleshaw Goddard's Innovation and Legal Technology Team.

Outside of your day to day work, you can develop your broader, non-legal skills through involvement in different activities such as charity events and sports teams. We also encourage our apprentices to act as AG ambassadors at Apprentice events, for example attending events at the Law Society, or live broadcasts to schools.

We offer two types of legal apprenticeships within the TST.
