Yunus acts on all aspects of corporate finance, with particular emphasis on venture capital and has won a number of awards for his work.
In one year he acted on two of the most significant public to private transactions to take place. He advised 3i Group plc and Beltpacker plc on the £304 million take-private of Peter Black Holding plc and advised 3i and Newco on the £100 million take private of Allied Textiles. Yunus also advised ECI Ventures on the £40 million management buy-in of Benjy's, the well-known chain of London sandwich shops.
In 2002 he led deals with a cumulative value of £691 million for high profile clients including 3i Group, Maplin Electronics, Park Dean Holidays and Skipton Building Society. He also played a fundamental role in the £560 million sale of Regional Independent Media Holdings Ltd, publishers of the Yorkshire Post, among other titles, to Johnston Press Plc
Yunus was voted Corporate Lawyer of the Year and Young Dealmaker of the Year in 2002 Yorkshire Insider Awards.
