Our CSR belongs to all our people.
At the end of 2005, the firm's Governance Board approved the "Great People - Great Clients" strategic plan, which included a commitment to developing a CSR strategy.
In 2006, the firm appointed its first CSR Manager, Marcus Jamieson-Pond.
At the end of 2006, a CSR Steering Team was established.
CSR now reports to both the Governance Board, for strategic direction, and the Management Committee, for operational consideration.
The CSR Team, in conjunction with the Board and Management Committee have determined our CSR strategy to be:
To position the firm as a leader in innovative and acclaimed corporate social responsibility programmes and activity; to gain acknowledgement of that leadership from clients, the community, our people and potential recruits; to engender pride internally in the firm's achievements.
Furthermore, the firm's revised Strategic Plan, of 2009, places an emphasis on working with "clients, people and communities", that provides a clearer direction for the work that is taking place.
The work of the CSR Team is supported in the firm through a series of focus groups, project teams, office Community Involvement teams, diversity groups, environmental champions and the rest of the enthusiastic people of Addleshaw Goddard, who are all committed to the goals of the project. It is a fact that we are known for our CSR programme and every AG person can take great pride from their involvement.
People get involved because they care.
