I want my employer to help me to encourage others to achieve their ambitions and potential. I want to get involved and make a difference.
The firm has a long history of working with our local communities.
Traditionally much of this work has been based on philanthropy - it's the right thing to do and others benefit.
We now have a balanced portfolio, ranging from pure charity work, for example collecting money on Red Nose Day, through to sophisticated programmes that have a global reach and have an impact on hundreds of thousands of people.
Why such a range?
We believe that people are different, so we offer a range of opportunites to get involved and have an impact. By taking this approach we can offer something for everyone and if there is nothing the firm is doing that excites, the website can be used to create a new project. Part of the criteria for our recruitment and promotion policies and eligibility for our bonus schemes, is a commitment to undertaking CSR work.
We are committed to our communities - that's why we give all our people at least two days off a year to participate in CSR activities. This can be increased if agreed with management. Our lawyers do pro bono (free) legal work as a part of our community programme and this time counts towards their chargeable hours targets.
We also believe in the "power of one". One person can positively affect hundreds. That's why we also believe in brokering joint projects with clients and other people. If you have a programme, a scheme, or just an idea that you think may benefit from our involvement, do get in touch. Together people can be more powerful.
