What diversity means to Addleshaw Goddard
At Addleshaw Goddard we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all and to the development of a diverse and talented workforce.
Our aim is to attract and retain the most talented people by being a great place to work. We fundamentally believe that we will only achieve this if we recruit, retain, reward and develop our people with regard to ability and without reference to their background, gender, ethnic origin, age, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, part time status or disability.
Our Diversity programme is led by our Chairman Monica Burch, who herself works on a flexible basis. Monica is supported by a wide group of partners, fee earner, managers and support staff from all areas of the firm reflecting both differences in practice area and offices to ensure consistency of approach and fairness.
We take the view that best practice cannot be achieved overnight, but is attained through cultural change within the firm and from learning from the business community at large. We also recognise the importance of building a greater level of understanding of all aspects of diversity and are active members of Working Families, Opportunity Now, the Employers Forum on Disability, Race for Opportunity and Stonewall.
